Neramo Privacy policy

Neramo privacy policy

Last updated 7 November 2026

In short: Neramo keeps your plans, routines and trips on your phone. There is no Neramo server and you do not need an account. A few optional features use the network, as listed below.

What Neramo stores

Everything is stored only in the app’s private storage on your phone:

  • Plans and routines: names, places you add, arrival times, travel times and getting-ready steps.
  • Trip history: when you started getting ready, left and arrived, used to show how long things really take.
  • The list of apps you chose to pause, and your settings.

Accessibility service (app pausing)

If you turn on app pausing, Neramo uses Android’s accessibility service only to see which app is in the foreground, so it can pause the apps you chose while you are getting ready. It does not read what is on your screen, what you type or your messages. Nothing collected this way leaves your phone.

App pausing is optional and you can turn it off at any time in Neramo’s settings or Android’s accessibility settings.

Location

If you allow it, Neramo uses your location for two things only: once, to remember where home is so it can show the weather; and, if you turn on arrival detection, a geofence around the place you are travelling to, so it can tell when you arrive. Only the coordinates of your saved places are stored, on your phone.

To show the weather, Neramo sends the approximate coordinates of home to Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com), a weather service that does not require an account. No other information is sent with the request.

What else leaves your phone

  • Google Maps: when you tap “Check in Maps”, Neramo opens the Google Maps app with your destination. What happens in Maps is covered by Google’s policy.
  • Google sign-in and Drive backup (optional): Neramo saves backup files in the app’s private folder in your own Google Drive. Only Neramo can see that folder.
  • Android backup: Android may back up the app’s data to your Google account, as it does for most apps. You can turn this off in Android settings.
  • Google Play purchases: Premium is sold through Google Play. Neramo only learns whether Premium is active.

Neramo has no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Google’s handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

Permissions and why

  • Notifications, exact alarms, full-screen alerts, vibration and wake lock: so the get-ready alert fires on time, even on a locked screen.
  • Start at boot: to restore your alerts after a restart.
  • Display over other apps and accessibility: for app pausing, if you turn it on.
  • Location (including in the background, only for arrival detection): as described above.
  • Internet: for weather, Google Drive backup and Google Play purchases.

Children

Neramo is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Deleting your data

Your data is on your phone, so you are in control of it. Clearing Neramo's storage or uninstalling the app deletes everything on the device. If you used Google Drive backup, you can remove the backup from Google Drive (Settings › Manage apps in Drive) or turn off backup in the app.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. Significant changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
