Wimploy privacy policy

In short: Wimploy keeps your attendance and leave records on your phone. There is no Wimploy account and no Wimploy server. The internet is used only for Google Play purchases and, when you choose, backup to your own Google Drive.

What Wimploy stores

Everything you enter is stored only in the app’s private storage on your phone:

  • Registers, teams and the people you add: names, employee codes, roles, joining dates and anything else you type in.
  • Attendance marks, in and out times, leave records, leave types, holidays and week offs.
  • Your settings, including app lock and backup preferences.

About the people in your register

You decide who is in your register and what you record about them. Wimploy does not contact them and they do not need the app. If you keep records about other people, please make sure you are allowed to and tell them what you keep.

What leaves your phone

  • Google Play purchases: handled by Google Play. Wimploy only learns whether you have an active plan.
  • Google Drive backup: if you sign in with Google to back up, Wimploy saves backup files in the app’s private folder in your own Google Drive. Only Wimploy can see that folder.
  • Reports and exports: files you choose to share go to the app you pick (for example email or WhatsApp). After that, that app’s own policy applies.

Wimploy has no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting tools. Google’s handling of purchases and Drive files is covered by the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

Permissions and why

  • Biometrics or screen lock: to unlock the app if you turn on app lock. Your biometric data stays with Android.
  • Notifications: for the optional daily reminder.
  • Internet: only for Google Play purchases and Google Drive backup.

Children

Wimploy is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Deleting your data

Your data is on your phone, so you are in control of it. Clearing Wimploy's storage or uninstalling the app deletes everything on the device. If you used Google Drive backup, you can remove the backup from Google Drive (Settings › Manage apps in Drive) or turn off backup in the app.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. Significant changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
